What I like the most about "the fosters"
Before deepening the
subject: THEY ARE A FOSTER FAMILY!!!. It's already a
beautiful action to
give love and affection to children and young people who have gone
through difficult times.
Stef (Teri Polo) and
Lina (Sherri Saum) are an homosexual couple and stand behind family
adoptions. They have only one biological son, Brandon (David
Lambert), from Stef’s old marriage, they addopted one couple of
brothers Mariana (Cierra Ramirez) and Jesus (Noah Centineo) when they
were small and later two brothers Callie (Maia Mitchell) and Jude
(Hayden Byerly), when these two brothers arrive at the home of Stef
and Lina is there that everything started.
In this series,
several topics are covered: homosexuality, illegal immigration,
pedophilia, unplanned pregnancy, transsexuality, AND MORE NO TELLING
i don’t want to give too much spoiler !!
One of the good
points of this serie, besides the topics I mentioned, is that,
effectively, I could see the family's daily life and the growth of
the characters on a physical and psychological level.
The fact that a
series that reaches millions of people, demonstrates real problems
(not only applied to America but to the whole world) is extremely
necessary.
All the topics
covered in the serie have to be analyzed and demonstrate to the
public , how things really are and the fact that these problems
usually happen to a large part of the world population is surreal!
In Europe alone, in
2017, there were 4.7 million immigration (2.4 million from third
countries and 1.4 million with the nationality of an EU member
state). The country with the largest migratory flow in Europe was
Germany with 1 million 543 thousand and 8 , followed by the United
Kingdom with 631 thousand and 5 immigrants.
In Brazil, cases of
pedophilia were 2 million 266 thousand and 7 only in 2015! If one
country accounts for 1 500 cases of pedophilia (which does not
happen, but hypothetically), in a year, multiplying by the number of
countries in the world 194 (confirmed by the UN in 2014) gives a
total of 219 thousand cases of sexual abuse to minors, and excluding
sexual assaults that occur to adults.
I'll be honest, I
cried EVERY season, more than once, for various reasons. At the end
of the series I was with so many doubts of what was going to happen
the characters and why it ended that way, because defenitively, the
end was an open end yet, there was a lot of tip to get him to
continue a great series.
The real tea is that
they will continue the serie with the name of "Good Trouble",
will have the same cast and the same characters but the series will
focus on Callie and Mariana. Begins in January 2019, what a good way
to start the new year !!!
